This guided walk links two trails and is generally moderate with a few strenuous bits and provides great views of neighbouring Maulin, Djouce, and the Deerpark Valley,
the Great Sugar Loaf, plus Powerscourt Waterfall where the Dargle river plunges 121m (or 398ft in ‘old money’), and is the highest waterfall on the island of Ireland.

This walk includes a section of the Wicklow Way near Lough Tay (a film location for ‘Vikings’ and ‘Excalibur’) heading towards White Hi
ll. Panoramic views from the start on this one of the neighbouring hills, lakes, and reservoirs, and 360 gran vista atop Djouce (assuming no mist) onto its many spurs including Middle, Paddock, and Barrack Hill. We will head up to the Djouce summit (725m) and return back to our start point via new route or the Wicklow Way.
This route can get very windy and cold, so bring those extra layers.
